Fast Shop was looking to boost sales of the Samsung Galaxy S9 in its e-commerce. In addition to business objectives, the brand also wanted to compare the performance of static ads against vertical video creatives to understand which would work best for the product.

the solution: mobile first

Fast Shop was already present on Facebook platforms with several ad campaigns using static images and horizontal videos. But, to prepare its first creatives adapted for mobile phones, the brand enlisted the help of our Creative Shop team.

In a joint effort with the brand, the team developed a series of vertical videos. The format takes up more space in potential customers' Feeds, which helps get the message across. The contents, which simulated the "sliding" of the screen, were produced following other recommended practices for our platforms, that is, they showed the brand in the first few seconds and conveyed the message in a few seconds, even without sound.

Videos were served with Auto Positioning turned on. Ads were distributed across Facebook and Instagram Feeds, Messenger and Stories from the Facebook family of apps, with delivery automatically optimized for platforms where there were more responses. The campaign was active for 10 days in March 2019.

the success: speed in sales

tested alongside static image ads, video creatives designed for mobile performed much better in terms of reach and return, in Fast Shop's conclusion.
